We are Now Hiring a Regional Director of Employment Services to oversee operations in Central PA! This role will be based out of our Wrightsville, PA office.
The Regional Director of Employment Services leads a team responsible for training individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the critical skills needed to gain and maintain successful employment.
You will support your team with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve our programmatic goals.
Responsibilities:
Manage employment programs and partnerships with stakeholders including ODP (Office of Developmental Programs) and OVR (Office of Vocational Rehabilitation) Define contract requirements for vocational and employment activities with appropriate agencies Manage contract procurement and disbursements for community-based programs Network with business leaders to develop employment, volunteer, and internship opportunities Provide training on the methodology used to teach individuals the skills needed for employment Assist with training individuals to perform on-the-job tasks and work routines Survey job openings and facilitate interviews with potential employers and participants Build a support network between individuals and community members Assist with business development, fundraising, and grant development for employment programs Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely Maintain a high-quality program in accordance with our standards and mission Perform all duties necessary to meet state approved objectives and requirements May be required to perform the responsibilities of an Employment Specialist Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Minimum 3 years of experience in related field or 1 year as a COI Employment Specialist ACRE Certified or similar credentials Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines Knowledgeable in the areas of ODP and OVR Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Working Conditions:
Travel is required utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the community Transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles Schedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hours Overtime may be required due to business needs Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be required May be required to lift or move 25
pounds May assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory participants May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases Why Community Options?
